Lord of Mysteries Adds Extra Qualifiers Before November 12 Strategic Server Event

The Chinese MMO changes club qualification with two extra matches, a 200-point cap and three strength tiers for its next strategic server event.

Lord of Mysteries clubs will have two more matches to account for when qualifying for the next strategic server event. The official October 13 notice sets November 12 for its opening and changes qualification to four regular matches plus two extra matches across the selection month.

After qualification, the developer will regroup eligible clubs from across all servers using their final selection points and overall strength. The qualifying league’s regions will determine entry, but will not lock clubs into the same groups for the strategic server event.

The developer names three strength tiers: 诸神之战 (War of the Gods), 半神列阵 (Demigod Formation) and 非凡群星 (Beyonder Stars). These English names are working translations. The notice promises richer rewards in the higher tiers, but gives no numerical strength thresholds or reward quantities.

A Sunday match after every second regular match

The Four-Way League (四方联赛) keeps its two-week rounds, with two regular matches per round. During strategic server selection months, each round gains an extra match, 附加赛, in weeks two and four. The regular matches remain on Saturday, with the extra match on the following Sunday; players should use the published event calendar for specific dates.

Eligibility uses the Mythic group (神话组) roster before that round’s promotion and relegation. A club about to drop out of Mythic can still play the extra match. A club about to rise into Mythic cannot join that round’s extra match. Promotions and relegations take effect after all extra-match results are settled.

Clubs face opponents that finished in the same position in the other three divisions of their war zone. The four first-place clubs meet in one match, the four second-place clubs in another, continuing through eighth place.

How the 200-point limit works

The new selection scoring applies to Mythic clubs in the first two rounds of a selection month. Both rounds use the same rules. The second round no longer receives extra weighting, and selection points are separate from the points that decide a match’s winner.

Part of each roundSelection points
First regular match10, 8, 6 or 4 for first through fourth place
Second regular match40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 or 5 for the round’s final first through eighth place, before promotion and relegation
Extra matchBased on both regular-season rank and extra-match placement, as shown in the official chart

The notice gives a useful example: a club ranked second in its division’s Mythic group earns 39 selection points if it finishes third in the extra match. Winning that extra match would earn the same club 45 points. The regular-season finish still affects the award.

Each round allows a maximum of 100 points, for 200 across both rounds. The old single-match placing points and end-of-round ranking bonuses are not added on top. After the second extra match and final points calculation, each division’s top eight clubs enter the Apocalypse group (天启组) and receive strategic server eligibility.

This is a new qualification cycle, separate from the victory parades awarded to the previous winning faction. Club leaders should check their Mythic roster status before each round’s promotion and relegation, since that determines who can play the extra match.
