Lord of Mysteries: The Fool Gets China Approval, With No Launch Date Yet
The Fool's official account confirms its Chinese game approval. Development continues, and pre-registration was already open before the September announcement.
Lord of Mysteries: The Fool has received its Chinese game approval, according to the game’s official account. The September 30 announcement pairs the news with a hooded character, floating cards and four large Chinese characters on its poster: 版号已至, meaning the game approval has arrived.
The team is still developing the game. Its official announcement, published by the verified 诡秘之主-愚者 account, gives no launch date, test schedule or global release plan.
This is 诡秘之主:愚者, translated here as Lord of Mysteries: The Fool. It has its own pre-registration campaign and carries licenses for both the original novel and the animated series. The team describes a setting built around steampunk and classical British aesthetics.
It is a separate game from the Chinese Lord of Mysteries MMO whose Roselle raid we covered this week. The approval post does not announce a new server or expansion for that MMO. Keep the subtitle 愚者 in view when checking Chinese posts or store listings.
Pre-registration was open before the approval post
The September announcement repeats a pre-registration link, but the official account was already advertising 全平台预约现已开启, or “pre-registration is now open across platforms,” in its June 17 reveal post. September 30 is the date of this approval announcement, not the start of that campaign.
That earlier wording also leaves room for confusion among readers outside China. Neither of these two posts specifies an English release, supported countries or a global launch date. The Chinese campaign’s reference to platforms does not establish those details.
The approval announcement offers little new information about how The Fool plays. It does not describe combat rules, card acquisition or purchases. The cards in its promotional poster are artwork, so they cannot establish a battle system on their own.
The account closes by saying that the project team is working on development and that more information will follow in official announcements. For now, players can use the pre-registration link in the source post and watch for a dated test or launch notice from 诡秘之主-愚者.
