Lord of Mysteries Version 1.2 Fixes Gear Sorting and Changes Raid Carry Rewards
A new Chinese developer Q and A details the September 17 update, new raid reward rules, PvP rooms, gear filters, pathway balance and a ban on third-party plug-ins.
Lord of Mysteries is using its September 17 update to fix the parts of an MMO that become painful only after players have filled their bags and started organising weekly raids. Version 1.2 will add clearer PvP and PvE gear labels, better dismantling controls, custom competitive rooms and a change to how shared raid rewards decay when experienced players help a group.
The details come from a Chinese developer Q and A posted on September 4. It answers 12 current player questions, including pathway balance, monthly pass value, chat spam, third-party plug-ins and the next two casual modes.
The raid answer changes how groups can use helpers. A player without a remaining shared-reward attempt will no longer reduce the group payout in every case. Full groups can bring a small number of helpers without cutting the common reward, provided enough members still have an eligible attempt.
Version 1.2 arrives on September 17
The Q and A names 1.2版本, Version 1.2, and gives 9月17日, September 17, as the update date for several interface and competitive changes.
The equipment screen will show a clearer distinction between PVP装备 and PVE装备, meaning PvP gear and PvE gear. The question says players currently have to inspect pieces one at a time. The same update will improve dismantling so players can lock equipment they want to keep and dispose of unlocked items with fewer steps.
That is routine inventory work, but it touches every active account. A level-cap increase creates more drops, and more drops make weak filters expensive in time. Clear activity labels also reduce the chance of dismantling a useful alternate set because two pieces look similar in a crowded bag.
Version 1.2 will also change 竞技之约, the competitive room system. The announcement says players will be able to open practice rooms for these modes:
| Chinese name | Working English translation |
|---|---|
| 主宰争锋 | Dominator Clash |
| 神作之争 | Divine Contest |
| 命运时刻 | Moment of Destiny |
| 四方联赛 | Four-Way League |
These are working translations for readers using the China client, not confirmed English localization. Clubs will be able to practise team modes without waiting for the normal competitive schedule.
The developers also found a fault that hid commander marks in some crowded situations. A fix is ready for release. The answer does not say whether the marks will become larger, only that their unintended disappearance has been corrected.
Raid helpers get a precise new reward rule
The current shared reward scales with the number of players who still have a valid loot attempt. This can punish a group when a veteran joins only to help friends clear a boss. The Q and A calls these helpers 黑工, a joking player term for someone doing the work without receiving the shared reward.
The revised rule is expected next week:
- In a 12-player raid, shared rewards will not decay when at least 10 players have reward attempts remaining.
- In a six-player group, shared rewards will not decay when at least five players have reward attempts remaining.
- Rewards will still fall in proportion when the eligible count is below those limits or the group is not full.
- A leader will not be able to kick a member while a boss fight is active.
The thresholds let a full raid carry two helpers and a six-player party carry one. They do not make every carry free. A 12-player group with nine eligible members can still lose part of its shared payout, and an 11-person group can still be penalised because it is not full.
Raid leaders should count 公共奖励次数, shared reward attempts, before the pull. The new anti-kick rule protects players during the fight, but it does not stop a leader from changing the roster between attempts.
Third-party plug-ins are not allowed
One player asked whether community tools could be added to the client. The examples in the Chinese question include a Railway Tycoon decision helper and a real-time DPS calculator. The answer is short: 暂时不允许第三方植入, third-party integration is not allowed at present.
The stated reason is the effect on the game environment. The answer does not publish a list of approved overlays, explain how detection works or set a separate rule for tools that do not modify the client. Until SPARK NEXA publishes a more exact policy, players should not attach a plug-in to the running game or enter account details into an unofficial tool.
This rule is separate from the official September 1 warning about 第三方代充值, third-party recharge services. That notice targets sellers who advertise cheap currency, rebates or internal channels. It says an account can lose currency, items, equipment or characters obtained through an irregular recharge. Penalties can also include login limits, temporary bans or permanent bans.
The notice says linked accounts and accounts used on the same device may be reviewed. It also warns that outside sellers may use stolen payment cards or collect passwords and verification codes. Players who already used such a service are told to stop and contact official support. The notice says voluntary disclosure can lead to lighter treatment, but it does not promise that spent currency or removed items will be restored.
Use the in-game recharge flow or the official recharge centre. A discount is not useful if the payment is reversed and the account is left with a negative balance or a ban.
Mystery Pryer has received two buffs
The first question asks for another buff to 窥秘人, Mystery Pryer. The developers say the Pathway has already been strengthened twice. One change raised damage against monsters. Another raised the damage of two ranged skills.
No percentages or skill names are given, so the answer cannot support a new damage ranking. The stated target is a better ranged dungeon experience for Mystery Pryer. The team says it will continue to watch Pathway results across different activities.
The Q and A also says one-click combos will become more intelligent after analysis of combat data. It does not promise a user-made condition editor. Players asking for triggers such as casting a defensive skill below a set health value should wait for the final Version 1.2 notes before assuming those controls are included.
The monthly pass claim needs context
The developers say monthly pass benefits have already increased and will improve again. The Chinese post gives the current input-to-return ratio as 1:23 and says a daily login can collect the full pass reward.
That figure is the developer’s own value calculation. The Q and A does not show which paid amount, currencies or store prices were used to produce the ratio. It also does not answer the wider complaint about whether pass income keeps pace with every upgrade cost.
The reward still depends on daily login. Open the pass screen and identify 每日登录, daily login, 可领取, available to claim, and 剩余天数, days remaining. Compare the listed total with the specific materials your current build needs instead of treating 1:23 as a universal value score.
Fool’s Chess is first, Fight the Evil is later
The Q and A confirms 愚者棋局, Fool’s Chess, for Version 1.2. We have a separate Fool’s Chess preview with the announced piece, synergy, talent and equipment counts.
斗邪恶, Fight the Evil, is planned for Version 1.4. The developer adds that the final update notice takes priority, so Version 1.4 is a target rather than a fixed date.
The same answer mentions UNO only as part of the player’s request. It does not confirm an official UNO mode.

English players should check three things before September 17. Lock every set that is still in use, count eligible reward attempts before a raid starts and remove any tool that connects to the game client. Our combat and PvP guide explains the current competitive modes, while the Sequences and Acting Method guide covers Pathway progression.
The final Version 1.2 notice may add limits or rename controls. The Q and A already gives group leaders enough information to plan their next raid: fill all slots, keep at least 10 eligible players in a 12-person team or five in a six-person party, and do not expect a mid-boss kick to rescue a bad roster decision.
