Lord of Mysteries' Roselle Raid Will Make 12 Players Solve Maths Under Fire
Emperor Returns opens October 2 with maths puzzles, two forms of Roselle and item-level 65 gear. The official preview also describes a memory mechanic.
Roselle’s next test for Lord of Mysteries players includes maths. In the 12-player Emperor Returns raid (大帝重临), the team must solve mathematical puzzles during the first phase or take a heavy hit. The raid is scheduled to open on the Chinese service on October 2.
The official dungeon preview describes two forms of the emperor: his residual will (罗塞尔大帝残留意志) and his corrupted will (罗塞尔大帝污染意志). Each gets a different task for the group. The first phase tests players through knowledge. Near the end of the second, the team must help Roselle recall happy memories to resist the red moon’s corruption.
That is as far as the published instructions go. The notice does not give the equations, answer-entry controls or the exact memory interaction. It warns of heavy damage for failing the maths task, without saying that every mistake causes a full raid wipe.
Two phases and a larger roster
The first-phase preview image shows Roselle suspended in front of a circular mechanical structure, above an orange-lit chamber. Figures stand below him in silhouette. The image does not show a puzzle interface, so it cannot tell players whether answers require movement, dialogue choices or another input.
For the second phase, the official post describes a more violent, corrupted Roselle. Its final instruction gives the team a specific objective: help him recover those memories and resist the corruption. The developer has not explained in this notice how the game checks that objective or what happens if the team fails it.
Clubs coming from the six-player Tree of Abundance dungeon will need twice as many players for Emperor Returns. The preview does not prescribe a tank, healer or damage-role split. Assigning someone to read and relay the Chinese prompts is a practical preparation step for an overseas group, though it is not an official role requirement.

Item-level 65 gear is the announced reward
Emperor Returns offers item-level 65 Adventure equipment and an item-level 65 Imprint talisman. The preview names the talisman 神赐热线, translated here as God-given Hotline. These are equipment levels, not a published character-level entry requirement.
Players also have a chance to obtain the head ornament 知识的掠影 (Glimpse of Knowledge) and the cape 大帝的辉光 (The Emperor’s Radiance). The announcement does not publish drop rates or guarantee either cosmetic from a clear. These English item names are translations of the Chinese labels.
The opening date is October 2. Check the in-game 大帝重临 listing for the entry conditions and opening hour before fixing a raid time, since neither is specified in this preview.
