Lord of Mysteries Will Return Gold Pounds After Failed War Auction Bids
The Chinese game's September 24 notice sets out a refund change for strategic server auctions after September 28. Here is which currency the rule covers.
Losing a strategic server auction in Lord of Mysteries will soon return the Gold Pounds used to fund the bid. The developer’s September 24 correction notice says this change applies after September 28 on the Chinese service.
The rule covers players who exchange Gold Pounds (金镑) for War Reserve Gold Pounds (战备金镑), then use that currency to bid. Under the announced change, an unsuccessful bid will return the Gold Pounds spent on the conversion. The current refund returns War Reserve Gold Pounds, according to the notice.
That leaves a losing bidder with their original currency again. The announcement does not describe a new reward for losing an auction or a refund for a successful purchase.
Which bids does the change cover?
The developer places the rule under 战略服修改预告, its preview of strategic server changes. Its wording specifies the Gold Pound conversion route. It does not explain how a bid that combines converted currency with War Reserve Gold Pounds from another source will be handled.
The notice also gives no exact activation hour, conversion rate or promise to reimburse earlier failed bids. Check the refund shown in the client after the change takes effect, especially before treating an existing balance as eligible for conversion back into Gold Pounds.

Our earlier Song of Iron and Blood report covers the winning faction’s cosmetic reward. This refund change concerns the currency returned after an unsuccessful bid within that system.
For the original Chinese rule, open the notice’s 以战养战 section, then item 2, 战略服修改预告. The auction refund is the second numbered entry.
