Lord of Mysteries Opens Its First Character Design Contest
The China launch character creator supports detailed face controls, shared designs and a TapTap contest with prizes for the first ranked entries.
The first Lord of Mysteries community contest gives players a reason to spend more time in the face editor.
TapTap opened 「绯红月下·非凡者登场」角色形象征集评选, or “Under the Crimson Moon: Beyonders Take the Stage, Character Design Contest.” The event runs from August 19 to September 3, China Standard Time. Its listed prize is an official Lord of Mysteries keycap for each of the first 10 ranked entries.
The timing makes sense. SPARK NEXA opened character creation before the China servers went live, so the editor became the first complete game system that many players could use.
The editor offers more than a small set of presets
The character screen has controls for face shape, skin, eyes, mouth, nose and makeup. It also has simple and advanced editing modes, outfit previews, lighting controls and a preset-style panel.

The useful feature for players is import. A finished face can move between players as a short design code. This is faster than copying each slider value by hand, and it gives the contest entries a life beyond the event page.

Select 导入 to use a shared design. Select 分享 or 上传 to publish your own design. Select 完成定制 when you are ready to confirm the character.
The contest shows how SPARK NEXA expects this tool to work. Players can trade designs, rebuild familiar characters and give each server its own line of strange new Beyonders.
