More than 2.1 million TapTap users have reserved Lord of Mysteries before its August 21 launch in mainland China.
According to an official TapTap post, that makes it the platform’s most-reserved new MMORPG. The count has more than doubled since SPARK NEXA announced one million reservations in March.

SPARK NEXA is putting creators to work
The same post announces a launch-month fund for video creators and livestreamers. SPARK NEXA is looking for game stories, guides, character coverage, scenery and fashion content.
The official creator group starts publishing on August 19. Wider platform reward programs begin when the game launches on August 21.
Reservations are interest, not a review score
The 2.1 million figure gives SPARK NEXA a large launch audience. It says nothing about how many people will stay after the first week, whether the servers can cope or how aggressively the public version will sell power.
Those are serious questions after the Grey Fog Test. Players reported concerns about monetization and progression, and the public build will show whether the studio acted on that feedback.
The reservation count also applies to TapTap and the China launch. SPARK NEXA still has not given its English-speaking audience a global release date. For those players, 2.1 million is an impressive number attached to a game they still cannot officially download.
