Lord of Mysteries Raised Utopia Theatre's Weekly Track to 12,000. Players Are Stopping at 1,200
The Utopia Theatre weekly reward track now runs to 12,000. Here is what the Chinese UI says, how many Nightmare clears players report needing, and why 1,200 remains the practical stopping point.
Lord of Mysteries has made Utopia Theatre a much larger weekly job. The mode’s 进度奖励, or Progress Rewards, now extend to 12,000 points. Its previous 1,200-point endpoint is still on the track, but it now sits less than halfway across the reward screen.
The change has produced a direct response from Chinese players. Some are not trying to finish the new track. They plan to stop at 1,200, collect the rewards they already recognized as the weekly target, and leave the later boxes unopened.
Utopia Theatre runs can take a meaningful part of an evening, the party is limited to two players, and the value of the late rewards is not obvious from the icons alone. The game does not make the time-to-reward exchange clear.
The weekly track is ten times larger
The new Utopia Theatre screen shows 13 reward thresholds:
50, 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,200, 2,400, 4,000, 6,000, 9,000 and 12,000.
The old 1,200 target has not been removed. It is now a breakpoint before five later milestones. The final requirement is exactly ten times the former endpoint, which explains the language used in the most active TapTap report. Its title describes the update as 10倍肝度, or “ten times the grind.”
The literal increase does not mean every player must complete ten times as many runs. Progress depends on difficulty and clear results. One player in a second TapTap discussion reports that a Nightmare clear gives 2,400 points. At that rate, the full 12,000 track takes five clears.
That figure is a player report, not an official reward table. It still gives English players a more useful estimate than the size of the bar alone. If the current client awards 2,400 after a Nightmare clear, the weekly calculation is simple:
| Target | Reported Nightmare clears | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1,200 | One partial or lower target | The former weekly endpoint remains on the track |
| 2,400 | 1 | First new milestone after the former endpoint |
| 4,000 | 2, with progress left over | Second late-track reward |
| 6,000 | 3, with progress left over | Middle of the extended track |
| 9,000 | 4, with progress left over | Penultimate milestone |
| 12,000 | 5 | Full weekly track |
Check the points shown after your first clear before planning the week. Difficulty, scoring rules or a later balance change could alter the result.
Why 1,200 has become the player cutoff
Several replies under the main TapTap post say the rewards after 1,200 are not worth the added time. One player states plainly that they will stop at 1,200. Another says the later rewards look poor enough that the extended track can be ignored.
The screenshot helps explain that reaction. The later milestones show chests, currency bundles and a final 100-coin reward, but the screen does not give a simple English-readable account of their value. Players who cannot read the Chinese client have to identify the items by icon, open another menu or use a screen translator before they can decide whether five Nightmare clears are worthwhile.
This makes 1,200 a practical decision point, even though it is no longer the end. Players already know it as the former weekly target. Reaching it gives a clear place to stop without treating every visible reward as mandatory.
Treat the update as an extended ceiling. Finish the first 1,200 if that fits your normal routine. Inspect the rewards at 2,400 and beyond. Continue only when a later item has direct value for the character you are building.
The time cost is the real issue
Utopia Theatre limits groups to two players, according to the TapTap report. That restriction matters because a larger group cannot divide the work or cover weak roles in the way a raid group can.
One player in the discussion reports a 34-minute solo Nightmare clear and a 27-minute two-player clear. Those are personal results, not standard clear times, but they show the scale of the commitment. Five runs at 27 minutes would take about two hours and 15 minutes. Five 34-minute runs would take about two hours and 50 minutes.
A separate player estimated 20 minutes per run and described the update as seven or eight extra runs. That estimate does not match the other player’s claim of 2,400 points per Nightmare clear, so the two comments may reflect different difficulties, scores or assumptions. The safe conclusion is narrower: the track is much longer, and a full clear can require several substantial sessions.
Players should not use the 12,000 endpoint as proof that the game expects the same schedule from every account. Use the result screen after one normal run. Divide 12,000 by the points earned, then decide whether the remaining rewards justify that number of clears.
Chinese UI labels to know
The reward screen is easier to use when five labels are familiar:
| Chinese label | English meaning | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| 乌托邦剧院 | Utopia Theatre | The two-player combat mode |
| 进度奖励 | Progress Rewards | Opens the weekly milestone track |
| 剩余时间 | Time remaining | Shows when the weekly track resets |
| 本周进度 | This week’s progress | Your current points for this cycle |
| 噩梦 | Nightmare | The high difficulty named in the player clear report |
The screenshot shows 剩余时间:6天20小时, meaning “Time remaining: 6 days 20 hours.” It also shows 本周进度 at zero because the image was taken before the player’s first clear of the cycle.
Watch the value beside 本周进度 after a completed run. That number tells you how quickly your chosen difficulty advances the track.
A sensible weekly route
For an English player using the Chinese client, the least wasteful route is short:
- Complete one Utopia Theatre run at the highest difficulty you can clear without repeated failures.
- Record the points added to 本周进度.
- Reach 1,200 if the earlier rewards fit your normal weekly routine.
- Open 进度奖励 and inspect the 2,400, 4,000, 6,000, 9,000 and 12,000 rewards.
- Continue only if a later reward is useful enough to justify the remaining runs.
If your Nightmare clear awards the reported 2,400 points, five successful clears complete the track. If it awards less, do not assume the same schedule. The comments show that players are already reporting different ideas about run count and time.
For a faster clear, use our Utopia Theatre Nightmare Warrior build. Players who are comparing weekly costs should also read the Vitality chest cost breakdown. The Suki Translate panel can help with reward descriptions that are not clear from their icons.
The extended track gives active players more rewards to chase, but it does not make 12,000 the correct target for every account. The useful weekly goal is the point where the next reward stops being worth another run. For many Chinese players reacting to this update, that point is still 1,200.
