Lord of Mysteries Added Six Servers Before Launch, Bringing the Total to 20
Lord of Mysteries filled its pre-creation capacity twice, forcing SPARK NEXA to add six China servers before the MMO opens on August 21.
Lord of Mysteries has not opened its China servers yet, and its first population problem has already arrived.
SPARK NEXA began with 14 servers for the August 19 character pre-creation period. Those servers reached their capacity limit quickly enough for the studio to add space at 16:00 China Standard Time. That increase also filled, so two new servers, 深渊 (Abyss) and 死神 (Death), opened at 19:45.
The studio returned on August 20 with four more: 白银城 (City of Silver), 霍纳奇斯 (Hornacis), 征服者 (Conqueror) and 永恒烈阳 (Eternal Blazing Sun). That brings the planned China launch pool to 20 servers, six more than SPARK NEXA had ready when pre-creation began.
The MMO opens at 10:00 China Standard Time on August 21, or 02:00 UTC.
Pre-creation became an early load test
Players could download the client, select a server, make a character and reserve a name before the world opened. That was meant to move several slow jobs away from launch morning. It also gave the studio a clear count of where players intended to start.
SPARK NEXA says short-term registrations exceeded its forecast and triggered a temporary service circuit breaker, described in Chinese as 预创角服务暂时熔断. The first notice said all 14 original servers had reached the pre-creation limit. The second said even the added capacity was soon full. By August 20, the two new servers were also close to full, according to the studio.
These are developer statements, not concurrent-player figures. A reserved character may never log in, and the notices do not disclose capacity per server. The expansion shows that pre-launch demand was higher than SPARK NEXA planned for; it does not tell us how many players will be online at once.
A Reddit thread about the client reaching the top of China’s App Store download chart included several users asking whether the game had launched early. It had not. August 19 was the preload and character-reservation window. August 21 remains the public opening.
The six new server names in English
The names draw from places, gods, pathways and high-sequence titles in the novel. English players choosing a server in the Chinese client can use this list:
| Chinese server | English name | Added |
|---|---|---|
| 深渊 | Abyss | August 19, 19:45 CST |
| 死神 | Death | August 19, 19:45 CST |
| 白银城 | City of Silver | August 20, 12:00 CST |
| 霍纳奇斯 | Hornacis | August 20, 12:00 CST |
| 征服者 | Conqueror | August 20, 12:00 CST |
| 永恒烈阳 | Eternal Blazing Sun | August 20, 12:00 CST |
The server selector may also show 火爆, which means “busy” or “popular,” and 已满, which means “full.” 选择服务器 means “select server.” A full server can still reopen later, but the launch notices give no transfer policy. Players who want to start together should agree on the same server before they create characters.

The launch-day test is still ahead
Adding capacity before launch is sensible, but the hardest test begins when those reserved characters enter the same world. Login services, queues, cross-platform account data and crowded zones must all work at once. The game launches on PC, iOS and Android in mainland China, with shared account data across the three versions.
SPARK NEXA has not announced an English client or a global release date. International readers who plan to try the China version should first read our China pre-download guide and China account and phone-number guide. Do not buy a rented account or submit identity documents to an unofficial seller.
We will check queue times, login errors and server availability after the 10:00 CST opening.
